Kindergarten Enrolment
Children can be registered on the waiting list for Yarralea from 18 months. Most children attend kinder for 3-4 year olds in the year they turn 4 and kinder for 4-5 year olds in the year they turn 5.

Enrolments are handled directly by Yarralea staff, and all children are eligible to attend kindergarten at Yarralea, however priority of access is given to City of Yarra and Alphington residents. Enrolments are also prioritised for places by the Commonwealth Priority of Access guidelines and Yarra Council's Priority of Access Policy (see below).

Once you’re on the Yarralea kindergarten waitlist, offers of places for children new to Yarralea will commence in July of the preceeding year. Children currently attending Yarralea are not required to re enrol. Both existing and new families will receive a preference form asking to indicate their preferred days for the following year. In September families will receive confirmation and be required to pay a deposit. An information night for families will be held in November. Orientation and transition is built into the child’s starting days February.
